After almost seven weeks of work, I finally put the finishing touches on my new ABM ad yesterday morning for the spring 2016 issue of Starlight Music Chronicles magazine. As the most complicated and detailed fantasy-landscape image I’ve created to date, I’m thrilled to be able to share it with you—and will fully do that when the issue comes out. Until the unveiling, I thought you might enjoy this preview—a collage of some of the elements used in the final piece.
Please Note: All elements in this collage are original, save the stylized images of planets. As copyright-free, public-use images made available on the NASA website, the images adhere to all usage guidelines. I don’t normally make use of public-use images, but in this case, getting up-close, crisp original images of planets with nothing but my digital camera still proves to be a challenge without my own spaceship, satellite, really tall stepladder or anything else that will get me within close-up distance of them.
P.S. If you’re reading this, Richard Branson, and you have an available seat on Virgin Galactic (whenever it starts blasting off), I’d be happy to ride along. Coach class would be fine.
